Blog Update: Label Changes #2

Renamed "academia" label to "education" to better reflect the content of associated posts. This was also done to avoid confusion with the Academia locale in Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Looking for Long Term PSN Friends

Before I forget, I would like to announce that I'm looking for active or semi-active friends who have access to PSN. Whether you have a PSP, PS Vita or PS3, as long as you have an online connection to PSN, that's all I'm looking for. That, and if you're interested in making new friends. ^_^ In particular, I'm looking for players who regularly log on to PS Home and do the daily stuff like Aurora 5.1 and Novus Prime. I'm also looking for long term PS3 players as well as trophy partners (i.e. we help each other get trophies). I am also interested in meeting other RPG fans, but if you aren't really an RPG person, that's okay, I play other genres too, just very specific titles. Finally, if you meet none of the descriptions above but are still interested in meeting new people, you're always welcome to add me. I live in the Malaysian time zone of GMT+8 and currently I'm on graduation break so I play everyday but at irregular hours. You stand the best chance of catching me online after 9PM (GMT+8).

Thank you for reading and I look forward to your friend requests soon. My PSN ID is after this paragraph. <3

Blog Update: Label Changes

Renamed 'rankings' label as 'lists' to accurately define the label's content. In the future, this 'lists' label will be used for other purposes besides rankings as well.

Removed 'lists' and 'quotes' labels from the Categories tab on the sidebar as these two labels are rarely used (in my opinion) and those affected posts can be found through more frequently used labels. What's your feedback on this? Like/dislike the removal of those labels?

A Lot of Things Have Changed

1 year after my last visit to Playstation Home (PSHome), I'm pleasantly surprised to see so much new content. Granted, most of the new clothing items require payment, but there are a lot of new areas, minigames, quests and rewards to check out. I personally loved the Lollipop Chainsaw event (got a t-shirt from the event quest too). In one session, I tried out several amazing games (District 9, Orbrunner etc.), explored new areas, played a few minigames that give daily rewards (fossil digging, Trap-o-matic etc.) and got a ton of new items (miniature unicorn pet, goldfish, excavation tools, clothing items, bamboo sword, statues etc.). The connection is much more stable than it was a year ago and the traffic in PSHome has increased. If you haven't been to PSHome in a while, I highly recommend you check it out.

Thank Goodness I Took Those Dreamweaver Classes

Little known fact - I once took Macromedia Dreamweaver (currently known as Adobe Dreamweaver) classes 11 years ago. Dreamweaver is a web designer program. I learnt mostly HTML coding language since it was just a basic course. I was poking around Blogger and discovered some solutions to my problem with some of my posts turning up blank or line breaks which popped up out of nowhere when I published a post. It seems that Blogger has a faulty HTML code that generates anomalous line breaks (<br>) and randomly changes the font background during long posts. So all I needed to do was fix the HTML language. Yatta! Problem discovered and solved. ^_^

Killabilly... Defeated!

Whew... finished Lollipop Chainsaw today. The final boss wasn't really that difficult, getting to him was a lot worse. I still got a few things to wrap up in the game, mainly uncollected trophies. I also wanna farm platinum medals in the Prologue to buy up all the costumes, music and artwork I didn't unlock. Maybe I'll revisit the earlier stages and try to set a high score now that I have the ultimate combo - Holy Chainsaw.

Seriously, Holy Chainsaw is effing cool! Square, square, square, square, triangle, triangle. In effect, a full non-upgraded pom-pom bash combo to stun zombies directly in front, followed by two 360 degree horizontal heavy swings and ending with a super huge range and damage version of the Chainsaw Full Swing (the most powerful single chainsaw swing). I see a lot more 3 and 4 zombie sparkle hunting now, even 5 and the occasional 6. For the Sparkle Hunting Master trophy (acquired by performing a 7 zombie sparkle hunting) though, I had to retry several times since Juliet's chainsaw sometimes auto-targets single zombies rather than groups. But I got it in the end.

Back in Business

Hello~ Sorry I've been inactive for a while. I got involved in a car accident last Saturday and as a result, 6 of my knuckles were broken (thus the inability to type). My knuckles haven't fully recovered, but have sufficiently regained some motor function. I also suffered fractures on my right knee, deep lacerations on my right arm and palm, severe bruising on my thorax and a possible fracture on my right shoulder blade. So please bear with the delay of new posts, okay?

A Little Introduction

Okay, now when I said this blog is casual, I mean it. A little bit of joking at someone else's expanse is okay, but NO FLAMING/TROLLING/HATING. You are entitled to your opinion as much as I am entitled to mine. But swearing is okay if used in the right context (i.e. not insulting). =D

What will be in this blog? My opinions/thoughts/musings/comments on any and all kinds of stuff! Movies, games, music, you name it. However, I simply can't be bothered to do a daily diary post (though I will mention certain interesting events I encountered in daily life).

Rebirth

Hi! I'm back in blogging business. Some of you may remember me as the author of Void of eternity, a blog I used to have approximately 3 years ago. Due to some bitter experiences and hostility created by that blog, I decided to shut it down. But if life has taught us one thing, it is that we must all learn from the past and pick ourselves up and try again. So here we are.

I have decided to keep this blog a casual one. Therefore, my updates on this blog may be sporadic and do not follow any standard periodicity. I'm still working on cleaning up the layout so please bear with me. Okay, gotta go. Be back later to tell you more. <3
